Fillmore/Japantown

(An apology prior to reading...I had hoped to take more pictures, but in all honesty, we are all caught up in the actual trip that I forget I have a camera more than half the time. I personally do not like my camera, a Canon SD 750, and am looking into getting a Canon Rebel in the near future. In the mean time, we are looking into getting someone that can document these trips on with a good camera for us, so that the burden does not fall onto our non-attentive hands.)

The Rudes embarked on their second field trip today; this time, down to the Fillmore/Japantown. And, despite rainy weather, we rather enjoyed ourselves. The purpose of these trips are to find inspiration and talk to small boutiques to see if they are willing to share anything about the process of starting up your own business. We hope these field trips will one day expand onto a worldwide scale, so that we can be inspired by the world, from Japan, to Europe, to Hong Kong and everywhere in between.

Today was more of a relaxed day with more of an emphasis on the meeting we would be holding later in the day. We stopped by New People in Japantown to find some different inspiration, which we definitley found. (We actually weren't allowed to take pictures inside this store, but I still got one off!)

Then, we headed off to my favorite shop...yup! The BKc! It had been a while since I stopped by to see what the guys at the BKc had been up to; apparently they've been up to a lot! There were a bunch of new product that I had to fight myself not to get! But, I never walk away empty handed ; ). (Thanks Gabe and Calvin! It's always a pleasure!) We then went to Sundance Kitchen to get a little bit of grub because Ali and Frankly Rude didn't eat lunch before we embarked on our trip! Needless to say, it was good eats! And we made it in time for Happy Hour!

Last stop was Marc by Marc Jacobs because Ali Rude had never been; it might not have been the best thing because now she loves it! : )

Many things were discussed and presented at this meeting, including the first ideas for the women's line, more than just t-shirts, new concepts for future lines, our website situation, tweaking the logo, and so much more! Oh! And Frankly Rude showed us the first draft of our possible first shirt! yup! yup! Until next time...
